On Thursday, March 12, Heat FC suspended all trainings, practices, and games due to the COVID-19 virus.
After Heat FC announced its suspension, the Nevada Youth Soccer Association (one of soccer’s governing bodies in Nevada) announced a suspension of all soccer activities. And the Elite Clubs National League (a league in which several SNSA competitive teams compete) likewise suspended all games.
The Governor has declared a state of emergency. In addition, earlier today he announced the closing of Nevada’s K-12 schools until April 6, 2020.
Heat FC will continue the suspension of all trainings, practices, and games until April 6, 2020. SNSA will continue to monitor the rapidly-changing impact of COVID-19 and will abide by all directives from federal, state, and local health officials and soccer’s governing bodies. Heat FC will re-evaluate the suspension in early April.
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this challenging event. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the pitch!
